DOUBLE R RANCH |
To be held at our place, the Double R Ranch, in Corning, CA. We're right off the I-5 and about 2 hours north of Sacramento and 1 hour south of Redding.
The starting times are 9:00 AM on Saturday, and 10:00 AM on Sunday. Guest speakers/trainers include Dave Hale from the 5-H Ranch and Gil Riegler from the Oasis Camel Dairy. Dave has been in the camel industry over 30 years and has over 100 female camels in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Gil has started the very first camel dairy in the United States and will also be speaking on the importance of camel milk.
On Friday night we will be training a bison to ride. We will begin saddling up at 3:00 PM. If folks want to come early on Fri (in the AM), you are more than welcome to. Afterwards there will be a social gathering under the bigtop (we will be supplying the cocktails and snacks).
On Saturday night there will be a special presentation by Dave Hale followed by a BBQ (we'll be supplying the tri-tip and fixings).
