CAMEL TRAINING SCHOOL AND WORKSHOP

~ April 19 (starting at 9 a.m.), 20, & 21, 2002 ~

 Camel Training School

To be held at our ranch in Winchester, CA. We are located about 25 miles south of Riverside, just off the 215 freeway. Bring your camel for some hands on experience. This event is geared toward young camels, but a select few adults will be accepted. You need to talk to Bill Rivers before bringing a camel. You MUST let us know in advance (no later than April 15th) if you plan on bringing a camel. Come to observe or come to participate with your camel. Work with some of the top trainers in the country. A rare opportunity! Plan to attend!

Some topics we will cover are:
  • Training to lead
  • Training to koosh
  • Picking up the feet
  • Introducing a saddle
  • Trailer loading
  • Riding
  • Driving
  • Round (or square) table discussions
  • Grooming and washing
  • Giving praise
  • Riding equipment
  • Castration - we will castrate a yearling camel
*Some equipment and trailers will be for sale.
*Sessions will be video-taped and sold at a later date
*Video cameras are not allowed.

Come to observe-$100 a day per person, or $275 for all 3 days

Come to participate- $200 a day for 1 camel and handler.

Cash and personal checks accepted (sorry, no credit cards)
Payment can be made upon arrival.
